Five Nights at Frickbear's 3 is a horror game where you play as the hunter, using fear to stalk targets. Use cameras, manage power, and strike before 6 AM.
This is the sequel in the fan-made series inspired by Five Nights at Freddy's, but with a completely different approach from a different perspective. The game places you in a familiar environment: an abandoned pizza restaurant with surveillance cameras, security doors, and dark corridors; but instead of defending, you are the one actively controlling the game.
Notably, the game doesn't rely heavily on random jump scares, but focuses on building tension step by step, forcing players to think like a "strategic predator" rather than just reacting.
The gameplay is highly tactical and psychological. You need patience, calculation, and the ability to utilize the environment.
Every action you take will increase the security guard's fear meter. For example, appearing on camera or making noise will increase the guard's panic level. If it increases too quickly, they will become alert; if it increases too slowly, you'll run out of time, so you need to adjust the pace between appearing and disappearing appropriately.
Animatronics have limited energy, so any action like moving quickly, triggering events, or appearing repeatedly will drain your battery. If you run out of energy, you will move slowly and are more likely to fail, so you need to balance attacking and conserving resources for crucial moments.
You can utilize the camera system to make targeted appearances, combining it with triggering environmental factors to create distractions. For example, making noise in a distant area will cause the guard to shift their focus, giving you a chance to approach more safely and effectively.
When fear reaches a high threshold, the security guard will lose their composure and react slowly or incorrectly, giving you an opportunity to approach. This is the perfect time to sneak into the room and deliver the finishing blow, but any delay or miscalculation will result in failure when the clock strikes 6 AM.
