The main opponent in the game is Rod Sullivan. He is a demonic ice cream seller with the power to change and freeze. He has a dark and evil past related to his family and work. Rod's father's name is Joseph Sullivan. He is also terrifying and harsh. Next are the small versions of Rod. These are called Mini Rods, and they are used to protect and harm Daniel. Additionally, Rod's Bunker is home to Rod's Crocodile, a giant crocodile. He raised this ferocious animal and used it to murder the abductees. Sister Madeline is another spooky character. She is a demonic nun from the Evil Nun video game and a relative of Rod's. King Richard is the last character. He is a king from the Middle Ages, related to Rod's origins and his powers.
To start the Ice Scream game, you can choose between ghost, standard, or hard game settings. You can play in Ghost mode to avoid detection by Rod, Normal mode to play with balanced difficulty, and Hard mode to play on the hardest setting. You must follow Rod and discover where he hides your companions in each chapter of the game. To unlock the extras, you also have to find objects and solve puzzles. You can navigate using the map, but use caution, as Rod has the ability to do that too. You must always stay out of Rod's sight and hearing. You can hide yourself in places like a closet, car, or trash can.
