Side Effects is a tense pill roulette strategy game of bluffing, risky choices, and survival. Outsmart rivals, manage resistance, and survive every turn.
Side Effects is a pill roulette game where you and another player take turns choosing pills, where each pill can help, harm, or even...instantly kill. The goal is to maintain your resistance level, avoiding it reaching zero to win.
Your objective is simple: keep your Resistance above zero while forcing your opponent into dangerous decisions. Every turn becomes a gamble between survival and risk-taking.
Resistance represents your character's ability to survive the effects of the pills. Each pill affects this stat differently:
Managing your Resistance carefully is the key to staying alive.
After each turn, players may use special support items that can completely change the flow of the game.
The real tension in Side Effects comes from psychological gameplay. By observing: which pills your opponent chooses, how they react, and when they use their items, you can begin to predict their strategy.
You can also manipulate your opponent through bluffing: pretend to make reckless decisions, fake confidence, or waste items intentionally to create pressure and confusion.
Sometimes victory comes not from luck, but from making your opponent panic first.
